iPhones and joy

Today is Raphael's 60th birthday, and he has received an iPhone which is the gift from the gods, as far as I can see. He is so full of life again, it is as if he has found new meaning in all things! Actually, he has found how to do so many things on this new tooy, a tool toy is a tooy, he is like a kid discovering frogs and newts under rocks, and leaves. He keeps running to find the next thing to peek under. It is very fun to see this enthusiasm, and yet I am a little disturbed by how, when the house phone rings and it is one of his daughters, he says hang up and call me on my iPhone... Addictive? Seems very likely, but maybe it is like the toy robot with all the bells and whistles. You do tire of it eventually and the robot becomes a tool again.... We'll see. For now it is a party all day and at 60 how many people feel that way? Thank you Steve Jobs for all the merriment and joy you have brought into my dear husband's world.
